Dr. Denis Byamukama has more than 10 years experience in water resource management. He is a water quality specialist and his PhD (2004) was on the evaluation of standard methods for water and wastewater analysis and monitoring in developing countries. I am currently a lecturer in the faculty of Science at Makerere, East Africa's oldest University.

Dr Denis Byamukama, Chairman
Winifred Kalebu, Vice-Chairperson

Winfred Kalebu has 13 years of experience in water supply business. She served as the first Vice-Chairperson of APWO – UGANDA from December 2003 – 2005 then Chairperson of APWO – UGANDA December 2005 – 2007 and again Vice-Chairperson of APWO from 2007 up to date.It has not been very easy to get where we are now. The water sector has gone through a reform process and

thus the recognition of Private Sector in the water supply business. My dream would be to see this idea successfully duplicated to the rest of Africa, to serve our brothers and sisters suffering with lack of water. Fellow Operators, the struggle continues so take heart and work even harder, we have a big role to play in the achievement of the MDG’s.
